Improving the health of our beloved breed in the future is the responsibility of every Bouvier owner. You can help Bouvier Health Foundation (BHF) improve the health of Bouviers by submitting your dog's DNA to the Canine Health Information Center (CHIC) DNA Repository.
Monday (Oct 8): Per Dr. Stern's schedule Tuesday (Oct 9): 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Wednesday (Oct 10): 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Dr. Stern from U.C. Davis will be doing heart exams on Monday October 8. Dog owners who are interested should email email@example.com to schedule an appointment.
OFA advance cardiac health clearance forms will be provided at the clinic.
Cost: Auscultation Only ($60), Auscultation and Echo ($225)
All that is necessary is a few minutes of your time to complete one form, and have a very small sample of your Bouvier's blood submitted. Blood will be drawn by licensed veterinary techs. More information about the CHIC DNA Repository is available at
Cost: It's $free$. BHF is underwriting the cost for blood draw and submission to the CHIC.
You will also be able to have the AKC DNA Profile done on your dog via cheek swab.
Cost: The reduced Specialty price will be $40.
