Charlotte Mielziner has been trained and competed in the AKC for twenty three years and has judged since 2007. She is certified in Canine Behavior from Purdue University and is a long time member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers and Society of Children's Writers and Illustrators. For sixteen years, Charlotte has led the St. Charles County 4H Dog Project, teaching young handlers everything from care and grooming, to Obedience, Rally, Freestyle and Agility. Further education is important to Ms. Mielziner, beside many training seminars, special areas of study have included dog bite safety, teaching children and sports psychology. Charlotte believes it more than just about the dog. It's also the human-animal bond that makes all the difference in a harmonious performance.
Ms. Mielziner lives, writes, teaches and trains in St. Charles, Missouri with her husband, daughter, three dogs, two horses, cat and a rather large garden. She describes herself as extraordinarily lucky and happy to be able to take her dogs to work.
